WALT make our writing interesting for our readers.
On Wednesday afternoon me and my papa drove to Whangarei so my papa could get his eyes checked. I thought I had to go with my papa so I asked my papa, “Am I coming with you?” He said, “No, you're going to your uncle's house. When I heard my papa say that I felt so excited. I was about to scream and I was as happy as a clown. When we got to Whangarei my papa dropped me off at my uncle's house. My cousins felt bored but when they saw me they were excited. They wanted to jump on the trampoline. I said, “We are going to jump in the pool after we play on the trampoline.” So first we played on the trampoline. I was jumping high in the sky. I felt so happy I was even giggling. Next we got into the pool but first we had to put on our togs. But I left my bag behind. My papa said he would get my bag but he lied. So I had to get into my cousin's shorts and I had to leave my t-shirt on. It was freezing when I got in the pool. I was about to jump out but I did not feel as cold as ice. Then my cousin said I had to go underwater. I did not want to go underwater. I did not know what my cousin was thinking. That was a crazy idea. But he still told me to do it. He did it, so I had to be brave. I did it but I was freezing cold. I liked going underwater. After that I wanted to get out so I did but then my cousins pulled me back into the pool. It was scary for me. I felt like I was going to drown. My cousins were laughing but I said what if you felt like you were about to drown. Then we all got out. It was cold because we stayed in the pool for about 15 Minutes. Our aunty gave us a towel each so we could get dry. After we got into some warm clothes we had some crackers. They were delicious. I felt as bright as the sun because I felt warm. My cousin Sidney said, “What can we play?” I said, “Let's play with the Scooters and the bikes. All my cousins said yes. Finally my papa came back and said, “Let's go home.” But then my cousins said, “Can we come too?” My papa said, “Of course you can.” I felt happy after our long day. I had a great time.I am a year 4 learner at Tautoro School in Tautoro Northland, New Zealand. I am in Room 5 and my teacher is Mrs Paraha.

My Learning Wall
Here is my fantastic learning wall. It shows me what level I am on and what I need to do to get to the next level.
SMART Relationships: be SMART if something happens online that we don’t like
We are learning to be SMART if something happens online that we don’t like.
We made an infographic to show what we have learnt.
I found it easy to change the colours on my infographic.
I found it hard to look for the images.
I really enjoyed changing the fonts of the letters.
Next time I need to make my infographic more fantastic.

My letter to my Papa and Nana
Dear Papa and Nana,
I'm going to talk about what I have learnt about sound.
First of all sound is energy, like light or electricity.
Sound vibrations travel in waves by pushing air molecules. You might ask- what are molecules? They are little circles that are in the air you can't see them because they are invisible and they’re all around us. Vibrations can be powerful. The stronger the vibrations, the louder the sound. Sounds are created when something vibrates, sending waves of vibration into the ears.

Recount Writing-Flooding.
WALT make our stories more interesting for our readers.
Flooding
On Friday I went to my uncle's house. I had a sleepover. When we got up the next morning there was a thunderstorm so we got up and went to the Farm to see the floods. There was water everywhere. There was no grass. The paddocks were covered by water and there was water on the road.
It looked like the whole area was devastated by flood water. I felt nervous and very worried because I thought the water might come up to the house. But luckily it didn't come up to the house because I forgot that it was on a hill.
We went for a ride so we could look at the floods. They were humongous. We wanted to have a swim in the floods but our uncle said no because it was too cold to swim in the floods. Our uncle said, ¨We are only looking for floods anyway. You didn't bring your togs.¨ So we went back to the farm so we can cool off and we played with the Lego. Then I went home. When I got home there was little floods not as big as my uncle floods. As the sun went down the the floods just began to shrink.

On Monday
On Monday I went with Haka. She also brought my mum. We drove Haka's van over to Waipapa to have a look around in the 2 dollar shop. When we got out we went into the 2 dollar shop. My mum got some more hair ties. Then we went to the check out.
I said to Haka, “Can we go to the Warehouse in Waipapa?”
When we got to the Warehouse there was a long line. It didn't go slow. I was excited. I was jumping up and down and clapping my hands together. When we got into the Warehouse inside it was big. Haka told us to go and have a look around. First we got some clothes. Next we got some scrunchies and when I touched the scrunchies. They were fluffy and cute. fluffy and cute.
I asked my mum if I could buy 1 of them. My mum said yes.

Anzac Poppies
This year, because we are all in our lockdown bubbles, we are not able to take part
in a community Anzac commemoration service.
So I decided to decorate the outside of my house with
some Anzac poppies. This is my way to show that I am remembering some
of my tupuna who took part in the wars of our history.

The Treaty of Waitangi
WALT write our ideas about the Treaty of Waitangi.
The Treaty Of Waitangi
The Maori people were in NZ first.
Next the English people came to NZ.
They had a fight.
The Maori people went to get help.
They sent a letter to the King.
The King sent James Busby and
William Hobson to help make the fighting stop.
They made some rules.
We will look after each other.
We will look after the things in NZ.
We will look after NZ.
They were partners.
They agreed to sign the Treaty to keep NZ safe.
They signed the Treaty and they called the Treaty,
The Treaty of Waitangi.
